With the help of an accountant, two Physician Assistants started an organization in 2009 dedicated to the delivery of healthcare in underserved communities in Guatemala. This past December, along with a dozen practitioners and 10 translators we saw over 1200 patients in the Lake Atitlan region! Along with seeing and treating patients, we distributed vitamins in a time of seemingly-insurmountable malnutrition. We also worked with the town fire-department by giving them much-needed supplies as well as uptodate first aid and trauma training.
